custom inspiration boards: a 'dallas' themed 30th

This board was created for Emily, who is having a Dallas (the famed 80's TV series!) themed blowout bash for her 30th birthday. I just had to go with a ranch style theme in honor of the great Southfork ranch, but didn't want to make it too rustic. So here's my take on a BBQ eating, cocktail drinking, bull riding, cowboy-chic event!

Theme: Southfork Style... a Dallas themed 30th

Party Ideas
Colors: yellow, white & red with brown accents
Setting: a backyard pool and patio with areas for cocktails, food and dancing
Decorations: Cover tables with yellow & white striped cloths and wildflowers in mason jars or painted tin cans. Consider covered hay bales as seating and toss a few pillows for comfort and color. Hang lanterns and/or string lights around the pool area for evening lighting.
Food: A BBQ buffet with all the fixins. Fill galvanized buckets with cold beer and jars of Texas 'spiked' lemonade to drink. For dessert, consider a pie buffet instead of traditional cake.
Special Extras: The ultimate added extra? A mechanical bull! Believe it or not they do have them available to rent for parties. Or more traditionally, go with a live country band. Of course encourage costumes... so maybe even have a photo booth at the party with Dallas inspired props (ie: cowboy hats, mustaches, big wigs etc).
